The 2nd International Joint Use Libraries (JUL) Conference opened in Adelaide this morning.
Hosted by Alan Bundy JUL guru, the conference has a definite international feel.
This mornings speakers have included Swedish and UK librarians and several from different states across Australia.
My initial response is we are doing ‘very’ well at Upper Riccarton with our JUL, and further afield across Christchurch, with the provision of library services to the citizens of the city.
The conference is tweeting #jointuse11.
Yesterday, a very informative bus tour looking at 4 models of differing sizes and formulas took us 75km south of Adelaide city, giving a bonus snap shot of this beautiful region.
Upper Riccarton School and Community Library seems very well known amongst this community of librarians!
My presentation is timetabled for the last session of the last day of the conference ….
I’m contemplating some non stereo-typical librarian music to back images of our library, to keep the delegates awake!
