I’m just home from a fabulously connecting night with a warm and incredibly resilient bunch of Canterbury librarians.
With mother nature putting us all in regular lockdown over the past year, we’ve all had very little contact.
It was wonderful to tonight connect with friends, colleagues familiar and new.
An evening to share our stories, of libraries broken and battered, libraries in red zones, libraries in repair has been such an affirming and positive experience, as we all realise the extent to which the earthquakes have effected the Canterbury library landscape.
Despite our broken buildings, damaged and in some cases, lost collections, it is “he tangata,he tangata, he tangata”
Thanks for a really affirming night LIANZA Aoraki.
